Formal Recruitment

On behalf of all the women at Alpha Chi Omega, we are so excited to welcome you to the Tribe. We are thrilled that you are considering joining the Greek community through the formal recruitment process this upcoming fall. Formal recruitment here at William and Mary is a two week process that entails potential new members (PNMs-that’s you!) having the opportunity to go through four rounds of house visits. Through these visits, you will get the opportunity to learn more about each sorority and get to know the sisters that make up each chapter. The four rounds of recruitment consist of Open House, Philanthropy Day, Sisterhood Day, and Preference Night.

During the open house round, PNMs get to visit each of the 10 houses and meet Alpha Chi’s for the first time! On Philanthropy Day, PNMs get to learn more about our philanthropies and how we support them. Sisterhood day is when PNMs get to learn what our sisterhood means to us, hear some of our favorite Alpha Chi stories, and learn a little more about what we have gained through our experience in the chapter. The last night of recruitment is Preference Night where PNMs are invited back to the house to experience a meaningful ceremony of Alpha Chi Omega that helps make our bond of sisterhood so strong.
