Alpha Chi Omega

Throughout the year, the women of Beta Delta hold multiple philanthropic and awareness events. In the fall, we honor Domestic Violence Awareness month. We host Alpha Chi Oktoberfest in our chapter house, where community members can enjoy baked goods and listen to campus acappella groups perform. In addition, we recently established an annual relationship violence awareness panel discussion to promote awareness and help support the creation of a safer community. In both semesters, Alpha Chi’s hold a collection drive outside of local grocery stores for supplies for Avalon. 

 

In the spring, Alpha Chi’s recognize Healthy Relationships week around Valentine’s Day. This includes a photo campaign entitled “Love is…” to promote examples of positive and healthy relationships.  In the past, our spring philanthropy events have included a 5k and an Ultimate Frisbee Tournament. 

 

Alpha Chi Omegas participate in many other philanthropic events, Greek and otherwise, and volunteer in our community. Recently, we’ve had sisters deeply involved with organizations such as Colleges Against Cancer, Campus Buddies, The Heritage Humane Society, The Arc of Greater Williamsburg, among many others.
