Chapter Executive Board

Chapter President

 

Alden Gatchel, Class of 2019, is our Chapter President and she hails from Oakton, Virginia, majoring in Public Health with a minor in Psychology. She loves the support that our sisterhood offers and always feels encouraged to push herself to try new things or take on new challenges both within and outside of the chapter. Alden is in charge of overseeing the Executive Board and all chapter operations. Outside of Alpha Chi, she is also involved with William and Mary’s dance marathon, TribeTHON, and the co-ed business fraternity. A fun fact about Alden is that she got to hang out with elephants in South Africa and Thailand!

 

VP Chapter Relations & Standards

​

Our Vice President of Chapter Relations and Standards, Lauren Gebhardt, makes sure that our members are upholding our bylaws and supports positive relationships and communication between sisters. She is a Neuroscience major with a minor in Classical Studies and a Pre-medicine concentration as part of the Class of 2019. Lauren is from Glen Allen, Virginia but spends much of her time working at two favorite local restaurants in Williamsburg. Her favorite part about Alpha Chi is the friendships it has allowed her to build with so many sisters. Lauren also has a pet hedgehog named Edgar Allen Poke!

 

VP Risk Management 

​

Juliana Mitchell, part of the Class of 2020, is our Vice President of Risk Management. She is responsible for making sure that sisters are safe and accounted for at all social events and that these events adhere to FIPG regulations. Juliana is a Government major from Alexandria, VA and hopes to work on policy on Capitol Hill one day! Outside of Alpha Chi, she is also a Model UN delegate and a member of the International Relations club. What Juliana loves most about her experience in the chapter is all the memories she has made with her sisters. Beta Delta has meant so much to her and she wants to give back to it while serving on the Executive Board.

VP Finance

Our Vice President of Finance, Anna Kugler, is a native of Kearney, NE and a member of the Class of 2019. She is in charge of managing the chapter budget and all things finance related, including sisters’ semester dues. Anna is an Economics major and an International Business minor, making her perfect for this role. Plus, she loves creating spreadsheets! Anna’s favorite part of Beta Delta is how diverse our sisterhood is and that sisters are involved in so many different activities and organizations across campus.

VP Ritual and Fraternity Appreciation

Our Vice President of Ritual and Fraternity Appreciation, Hannah Kohler, is from Sterling, VA and she is responsible for all of Alpha Chi’s ritual, including everything from initiation to alumni relations. As a member of the Class of 2019, she is majoring in International Relations with a minor in Psychology. Hannah is also a member of the National Organization for Women and an intern at AidData. She loves that Beta Delta has such a strong and supportive sisterhood, whether it’s giving you a ride to a doctor’s appointment or having a travel buddy while studying abroad. A fun fact about Hannah is that once a year, she wears a different penguin sweater every day for a week!

VP Recruitment

Jenna Smith is our Vice President of Recruitment and she joined the Executive Board because she wanted to give back to the chapter by recruiting some amazing new members to build upon the solid support system of sisters. She is in charge of coordinating the entire recruitment process and oversees the extension of bids to new sisters. Jenna, from Luray, VA, is a member of the Class of 2020 and is majoring in Neuroscience with a minor in Public Health. Outside of Alpha Chi, Jenna works in a faculty research lab and loves spending time with her puppy, Kona, who lives with her at William and Mary.

VP New Member Education

​

Katie Ault, our Vice President of New Member Education, introduces new members to the rituals and expectations of Beta Delta and also welcomes new students to William and Mary as an Orientation Aide. Part of the Class of 2019, she is from Marietta, GA and double majors in Global Studies and French. Her favorite part about Alpha Chi is the relationships she has formed with so many Real Strong Women in our chapter. She is excited to help others find a home here during her time in this position. A fun fact about Katie is that she is in the Guinness Book of World Records as part of the largest group of people in ugly holiday sweaters!

VP Public Relations and Marketing

Samantha Herr, our Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing, is responsible for overseeing all of the chapter’s social media accounts and merchandise orders. As a member of the Class of 2020, Sam is an Accounting major with a minor in Psychology. She hails from Carlisle, MA and her favorite part about Beta Delta is the support system of sisters and the friendships she has made that will extend well beyond her 4 years at William and Mary. She joined the Executive Board because she was inspired by the leaders before her and hopes to serve a similar role for younger chapter members. One day, Sam hopes to own a Bernese Mountain dog!

VP Membership Programming

Our Vice President of Membership Programming, Sarah Doebley, is from Philadelphia, PA and is also a member of the Class of 2020, majoring in Neuroscience with a Pre-medicine concentration. Outside of Alpha Chi, she is involved in Global Medical Brigades and Health Careers club. She also went to the same high school as Kobe Bryant! Sarah is responsible for strengthening the bond between our sisters by planning all of the chapter’s sisterhood events. Her favorite part of Alpha Chi has been living in the chapter house where she gets to spend lots of time with her sisters and is looking forward to sharing her enthusiasm for the chapter with other members during her time on the Executive Board.

Panhellenic Delegate

​

Our Panhellenic Delegate, Hannah Paros, has the dual responsibility of serving on both the Beta Delta Executive Board and the Panhellenic Council. She represents Alpha Chi to the Greek community and helps all of the chapters on our campus work together. Hannah, Class of 2020, is a Neuroscience major with a Pre-medicine concentration and often volunteers at a local hospital. One day, she hopes to become a pediatrician! Hannah credits joining Alpha Chi as the best decision of her college career thanks to the support group of strong independent women. During the summers, she works as barista to help fuel her coffee obsession!

VP Intellectual Development

Daphne Sink, our Vice President of Intellectual Development, is responsible for organizing all academic events and encouraging academic excellence among each of our sisters. As a member of the Class of 2020, she is a Chemistry major and Mathematics minor from Culpeper, VA. On campus, she also works as a Career Ambassador at the Cohen Career Center. Daphne loves living in the Beta Delta house with so many of her closest friends and is excited to get more involved within the chapter during her time on the Executive Board. A fun fact about Daphne is that she has gone her entire life without breaking a bone!

VP Facility Operations

​

Our Vice President of Facility Operations, AJ Marra, is responsible for the Beta Delta chapter house and makes sure that the sisters who live there are safe and happy. Her favorite experience in Alpha Chi has been living in the house and she wants to continue to ensure that it remains this way for everyone that sets foot through our doors. AJ is from Lynchburg, VA and is a Computer Science major with an English minor at the College as a member of the Class of 2020. She is also involved with the club swim team and the Association of Computing Machinery. Last year, AJ correctly predicted the result and exact score of Super Bowl LI!

Social Chair

​

Our Social Chair, Audrey Trebelhorn, is part of the Class of 2019 and is from Centreville, VA. She is a Psychology and Kinesiology and Health Sciences double major and spends her free time volunteering in a hospital or working as a research assistant. Audrey is in charge of planning and organizing all of our chapter’s social events and she loves this role because she gets to enhance sisters’ chapter experiences by providing them with the best events possible. What she loves most about being a part of Beta Delta is seeing girls grow into their true, authentic selves throughout the course of 4 years. A fun fact about Audrey is that she ran a half marathon last spring!

VP Philanthropy

​

Caroline Lehman, our Vice President of Philanthropy, organizes all events to support our local philanthropy, the Avalon center, a shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence. A member of the Class of 2019, Caroline grew up in Indianapolis, IN, only 20 minutes from Alpha Chi Omega headquarters! She is an Anthropology and Accounting double major and also works in an archaeology lab. She loves Alpha Chi because it helps campus feel smaller by introducing her to women she would never have met otherwise. Caroline is excited about her role on the Executive Board because she hopes to work with nonprofits when she graduates.
