Formal Recruitment

On behalf of all the women of Alpha Chi Omega, we are so excited to welcome you to the Tribe and are thrilled you are considering undertaking the formal recruitment process this coming fall. Recruitment here at William & Mary is a two-weekend process where potential new members (PNMs- that’s you!) go through four rounds of house visits, and get to know sisters from each sorority. The four rounds consist of Open House, Philanthropy Day, Sisterhood Day, and Preference Night.

At open house, PNMs visit all ten houses and meet Alpha Chi’s for the first time! On Philanthropy Day, PNMs learn all about how Alpha Chi supports our philanthropies. On Sisterhood Day we get to share more about what sisterhood means to us and what we have all gained through our experience in Alpha Chi. The last night of recruitment is Preference Night where PNMs are invited to experience a meaningful ceremony of Alpha Chi Omega that helps make our bonds of sisterhood so strong.

At the end of the process the ten Panhellenic sororities extend bids, and everyone meets on the Sunken Gardens where new sisters run home for the first time! To see what formal recruitment has looked like in past years, check out our gallery at the bottom of the page. If you consider going Greek, I encourage you explore the William & Mary Greek life webpage here. Here you will also find the link to register for fall formal recruitment https://wmpanhellenic.mycampusdirector2.com/landing/!

Again, I am so excited to welcome you home to the college and home to the greek community! Go Greek! Go Alpha Chi!
